Facebook "Boost Your Business" launched in Gujarat

Boost Your Business- 20,000 entrepreneurs... from 100 Indian cities... in the next 180 days

This is Face book’s plan of action as part of its "Boost Your Business" programme to help start-ups/entrepreneurs scale up businesses across India.

Boost Your Business  which was first launched in 2015 in Hyderabad, this time it has tied up with Gandhinagar-based Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) to train people to achieve this target. Facebook plans to go to 20 states and 100 cities in the next six months in its first phase, expanding five times 
The programme is designed to equip small and medium businesses with the knowledge, skill and technology to stay innovative and increase markets across globally programme is part of Facebook's public partnership policy and aimed at giving back to the community. 
 
Apart from EDII, Facebook will also continue to take up other initiatives to connect people through Facebook to help them do business. One of them being FbStart  which is a global program designed to help start-ups build and grow their business. The start-ups receive credits up to $40,000 and free tools and services from Facebook and its more than 30 partners including Amazon, UserTesting, Dropbox, and MailChimp. Besides partners, start-ups get free access to more than 25 services including open source tools like React Native, FB Login and Account Kit and App Analytics. Any developer who has launched a working mobile app in the Apple or Google Play app stores is eligible to apply for FbStart.
 

According to newswire agency IANS, India is the largest market for FbStart outside the US and over 75% of top-grossing apps in India get integrated with Facebook.
