ICRISAT's I-Hub for farming innovation

The recently launched I-Hub (innovation Hub) at the ICRISAT campus at Patancheru, Hyderabad is slated to be a single platform where agricultural tech entrepreneurs, scientists and technology experts can collaborate to create cutting edge ideas & solutions in the farming and agriculture sector. Telangana's Industry and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy launched the iHub .
 
It is spread over 10,000 sft space.
Can accommodate 10 innovation teams to ideate on converging information technology and agriculture on a single platform .
It was estimated that under each innovation, about four persons will take active part in the 40-seater facility.
A high level advisory council has been set up to provide  strategic support which consists of the Telangana's Principal Secretary, Information Technology - Jayesh Ranjan, Microsoft India Managing Director - Anil Bhansali, T-Hub Senior Vice President - Rama Iyer, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University Vice Chancellor-  Praveen Rao, Principal Secretary, Agriculture- Parthasarathi and ICRISAT Director General- David Bergvinson. Its convenor is Ram Dhulipala, Lead, Digital Agriculture and Youth at ICRISAT.
 
“Entrepreneurs with passion are the ideal individuals to tackle problems using innovation and drive conversations at the intersection of agriculture, finance and IT. Promoting such intense collaborations between entrepreneurs and ICRISAT scientists is at the heart of the idea of iHub.
