Niti Aayog is working on a Digital Transformation Index (DTI) for start-ups in India. This will be used for gauging how well one helps an organisation grow and thrive in a digital world. The Internet of Everything is transforming the way every business operates in the next industrial revolution. How are businesses transforming digitally & the great opportunities it represents. A benchmark needs to be created taking into perspectives as to who is driving digital transformation, what’s seen as slowing digital progress, the top technology investments in the coming years,  the implications of digital disruption around the world, how companies are innovating to meet changing customer demands, what  business leaders’ plans to do to generate more meaningful employment etc.

"The challenge is to bring them back home and inspire them to contribute towards innovation in India. This is something which will create more jobs." Aalekh Sharan, Officer on Special Duty, Niti Aayog, said. Sharan was speaking at a programme for start-ups and entrepreneurs organised by Technology Centre of the CII in association with United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Global Intellectual Property Academy (GIPA) here. The Niti Aayog official also underscored the need for stronger industry-academia linkages for creating a better eco-system of innovation.
